Discover the latest frames from La Brique et la Violette, a French eyewear brand with a distinctive identity and a strong sense of purpose. Founded by two talented opticians, Marine and Romain, the brand came to life in 2012 with the opening of their first boutique.

Driven by a passion for design, the duo made a clear choice: to create unique, original frames using only the finest materials. These include cellulose acetate sourced directly from Italy, supplied by Mazzucchelli, a renowned name in the world of eyewear materials.

Cellulose acetate offers rich, vibrant colours, beautiful translucency and lasting durability, resulting in frames that are as comfortable to wear as they are beautiful to look at. But the brand’s commitment goes beyond design. La Brique et la Violette takes a thoughtful approach to both social and environmental responsibility.

Every frame is made to order, helping to avoid overproduction and unnecessary waste. It’s a considered approach that gives each creation even greater meaning.

What makes each frame truly unique is the skilled hand behind it. A single artisan crafts each pair from beginning to end, working with precision, care and an unwavering attention to detail.

Every step reflects the art of traditional craftsmanship, with meticulous care given to even the smallest details. The artisan’s initials are discreetly engraved on the left temple tip, a personal signature that marks the work. Just two letters, yet a distinctive mark of its maker.

Choosing La Brique et la Violette means choosing frames with a character all their own. Distinctive eyewear, crafted with care and designed to stand the test of time.

A word from Frédéric and Charlotte: “More than a frame, a signature.”
